Hi, my name is Kat, also known as MagicalGirlKitCat on IG and Youtube. I began my journey into the world of BJD’s 5 years ago but have always had a love of storytelling, japanese animation, and fantasy. For Dreamborne, I wanted to build a 1:3 scale anime BJD that reads as an adult woman with an ethereal aesthetic. Being anchored in a world of dreams, the Nocturne Realm provides a physical space that is by nature, limitless. Dreamborne is a blank canvas, much like our own dreams, and takes us to places we experience in our dreams.
Dreamborne is meant to be an artist collaborative. I hope to partner with more artists for future releases that will journey us across space and time through limited clothing, accessories, shoes, wigs, character creation and so much more. Our first generation of Dreamborne Dolls is a celebration of Japan, the birth place of anime and a the vibrant language of Tokyo street fashion. There, fantasy, identity, and individual narrative intertwine.
